Project Description

Located on an 80 acre mountain top parcel near Upperville, VA the Chateau De Esle' project involves the construction of a 12,670 square foot private residence, swimming pool, tennis court and associated site improvements. The project design celebrates a 360 degree view of the surrounding farm land by using two heavy timber framed octagons that are clad with glass to overlook nature. The two octagons are connected by a large central area that provides recreation and living space. The ground level is traditional wood framing, with a natural stone veneer façade and decorative concrete floors that unify the interior and outdoor living areas. The upper level is timber framed with vaulted wood ceilings clad with lap siding, glass, and a standing seam metal roof. Other interior elements include a free-floating copper fireplace and an elevator.
